Less action in this one but I really enjoyed the development of Lawrence and Temeraire’s characters in their dealings with colonialism and the slave trade and the attempted dragon genocide.
I think this is my favourite of the series so far, much more about the complexity of people (I guess the dragons are essentially people too) and less about stuff happening, though a lot of stuff does happen! ( )
