The spies want to kill Hannay too, and the police are trying to catch him because they think he killed the man. So Hannay has to run away from both the spies and the police. This story was written in 1915, and so it is quite old fashioned. But there is a lot of action, and the story is fast-paced, so it is quite good fun.
