Dr. Third

A story showcasing Grumpy Pertwee, with a good assortment of his companions. The story was rather slight, but I liked the drawings, especially of Liz Shaw. ( )

I didn’t care for the story in this one, although it did capture the grumpiness of the third Doctor fairly well. Definitely not one of my favorites in this series, though. ( )

Mike Yates, Liz Shaw, and Jo Grant delay the Third Doctor when he tries to urgently get back to the lab to freeze his ice cream. I loved the Mr. Men series when I was a kid, so I am ridiculously giddy about this mashup with Doctor Who. Very impressed with how the simple Mr. Men-style characters manage to emulate the Doctor characters' personas. ( )

The Doctor is on a mission in Bessie, his special yellow car, and in a terrific hurry. But then he has to help Mike Yates.

And Liz Shaw.

And Jo Grant.

And then the Ice Warriors with their sonic disrupters turn up!

Will the Doctor be able to complete his mission on time?...

I like that last picture with the Ice Warrior smiling triumphantly.
