This more than makes up for the dreadful Christmas special edition book. I loved this story of the tenth doctor and the Sontarans. I’m glad this was the one I chose to read last to finish off the series. So. Much. Fun. ( )

{Tenth of 13 : Dr. Who/ Mr. Men series. Children's. Retro} (2018)

Dr. Who is trying to take a well-deserved holiday on an alien planet when a spaceship lands on it because the Sontarans have decided to invade. So he tries to convince General Staal that he is not an enemy and all he wants is for the Sontarans to leave so that he can have some peace and quiet - but the General doesn't believe him.

The Tenth Doctor and General Staal of the Sontarans come to an agreement about lunch. I loved the Mr. Men series when I was a kid, so I am ridiculously giddy about this mashup with Doctor Who. Very impressed with how the simple Mr. Men-style characters manage to emulate the Doctor characters' personas. ( )

I know there isn't much to any of these books (I only count 4 of them as a whole book), but as a fan of the Mister Men books and a certified Whovian, I think these books are hysterical fun. Each is illustrated and told in the fashion of the Mister Men books, and each Doctor and the Companions in the books are written very closely to their live-action counterparts.

Now, we will just need a Dr. Thirteenth adventure come the end of the year to complete the set! ( )
