Penguin Readers Level 3: Jim Smiley and his jumping frog and other stories

This book has some short stories. Each stories are interesting because of its unique idea. It's not only the kind of funny joking story but also have serious message to readers. Sometimes this book tells about what is us human and describes our human mind deeply.All stories seems to could happen and it makes me thinking .
Most interesting story for me was " passeport to russia". The main character is young boy. He went to foreign country but soon he feels homesick and decides to go home . Before leaving,He drank at bar with friends . After say goodbye to friend ,a strange man speak to him. Then young boy enjoy drinking with him without thinking that a man will make him in trouble...
The end was unexpected and funny.
I think each story include some massage like lesson. This story
tells me not to follow the plan which looks interesting but untrusted. ( )

The book have many funny stories. Jim Smiley is a funny charecter. The Jumping frog is verey ugly.

His stories are very intresting,but they have a serious massage.
I was impressed with his stories. I like the third story,"Is He Living or Is He Dead?".This story is about the secret of Francois Millet,a famous artist in France.I was surprised at how to win fame. I think some his stories are staire to society. ( )
